The Fit&Yoga holiday is officially over... and we made it!!!
We survived a month filled with bootcamps, personal training, sup workouts, daily yogaclasses, surf and windsurf sessions and fun nights out! We detoxed, gained some muscles, tan and happiness!
So, what have we learned from spending four weeks doing workouts, having PT sessions, Stand Up Paddle classes and daily Yoga courses?!

So, what have we learned from spending four weeks doing workouts, having PT sessions, Stand Up Paddle classes and daily Yoga courses?!
Here our top 5, FIT tips for your own little Fit&Yoga holiday!
1. Nutrition; If you want to loose weight you first of all must ensure that you burn (calories) than you eat. You will not maintain a balanced, lower weight just by changing your diet.
Nutrition with lots of protein to saturate for a longer time than diet rich in carbohydrates.
Also protein rich food is better for developing muscle fiber, protein are the building blocks of your muscles. The better developed muscles you have, the higher the burning (calories/fat/sugar) at rest.
A good workout with the right balance of nutrition containing calculated amounts of proteins, carbs & vitamins is the key to a healthy, balanced, and fit body.
If you do not want yo-yo effect, it is important not to follow a diet, but to change your lifestyle. Not sure how to pick the right nutrition for your lifestyle? A trainer and / or coach or dietist can help.

2. Muscles; Work on your bigger muscle groups such as your upper legs (quads) and abdominal muscles . Stronger and properly developed muscles burn more even in rest.
Our favorite quote of the month 'Abs on Tension! ' is a keeper!
If you want to perform save, strong exercise, take in mind to 'keep your abs on tension'. Working out on your arms and legs, while keeping the belly muscles on tension, will bring you a stronger core on the way, and keeps you stable in the movement.

3. Yoga;It seems the perfect combination with any sport & workout. Yoga practice helps you to keep the balance in your body, keep your muscles long and lean and it really prevents loads of muscle aches! Deepening the knowledge on your own body, relaxing and learning to control your breath are important while doing any other sport. Taking a Yoga Class in between workouts is a grate way to keep your body & mind happy.

4. Keep smiling; You need your positive attitude. Keeping up with a workout has mostly to do with motivation. More than time, cause you'll always have 30 minutes in your day, to take some exercise.
A nice way to keep your positive attitude and motivation is by finding yourself a mate to join you on your workouts and sessions. Motivation can come from the inside, but going trough a workout together is so much more fun and it eases your resistance ;) You can do more than you think!!

5. Knowledge; If you go to the gym, run, do your workouts/exercises; Make sure that you know what you are doing to prevent injury's.
When you start training, consult a trainer or coach.
Take plenty of rest between your workouts and let your body get used to the exercises.
We didn't get hurt, muscle aches were held to a minimum and weak body parts were taken care off on a safe way, thanks yo the guidance of Aline. It is important to train properly to prevent injuries.
While doing our daily work-outs we saw many people passing on the street and in the gym, doing horrible things to themselves with out knowing it.
Safety above achieving, please if in doubt find an instructor with knowledge and ask!
Yoga helps you to get familiar with your body, its stronger and weaker parts and will help you get more flexible preventing injuries, but having the knowledge on what you are doing is essential in a good fitness practice
