With the winter months in Fuerteventura started we are getting more and more excited. The past months preparing, working in Portugal and starting-up the winter season in Fuerteventura made us believe; This is a dream job! Sharing our passion, see so many people windsurf and smile on the water... Living the goodlife, for now.
We have been working in offices and had 60hour jobs in tourism aswell, and we know how easy it is to get sucked into life and not enjoying every minute of it.. (yeah we all have things we have to do, but even then, stay positive!)
February 2016 we will take a moment to relax and unwind. A moment to realize who we are and why living life more aware is so important. Living the good life, getting out of daily structures, giving ourselves some well deserved ME-Time (under the sun).
Yoga holidays are growing wildly on internet, you can book a holiday or retreat everywhere. How do you choose your perfect yoga holiday? And what to expect from one week of Yoga with Eline? What else can you do on Fuerteventura? These are normal questions that deserve more explanation!

First of all we think that there is a difference between a yoga - holiday and a yoga - retreat.
A yoga holiday offers you yoga 'on the side', no fully scheduled programs from sunrise till sunset, just yoga, some more yoga and free time.. Time to have your own holiday.
A retreat should offer you more inclusive wellness, different workshops, daily filled programs to really get you retreated from your life and the world.
All these offers on internet, so many choices, don't make it easier for you to pick your right holiday;
one week 'Me-Time', this should be special, what should you consider when you pick your holiday?

Well besides a peacefull, happy, comfortable location, happy people and a knowledged teacher.
It would be nice if the area matches your interest and if the place offers enough space to wonder off and be on your own. The location/destination of your holiday is the one which makes the biggest part of your holiday!
1. Find out if the surrounding area matches your interests...
For us it is of great value to have sun, comfortable temperatures, beaches and ocean, good vibes in the nearby villages and we like watersports! Our destination matches our dreams:)
It is very important that you feel comfortable with the way of teaching, the atmosphere on the area and the luxury level of the retreat. Read about the teaching styles, the instructor and try to find out if it fits your wishes: is it serious/humor/direct/language/active/slow/with or without meditation and mantras, etc..
2. Ask questions about the level and style of the classes, ask about additional extra's and the basic supplies of the holiday.
Eline is open minded, likes to use some humor and not take it all to seriously, but when it comes to safety and learning she really puts an effort to get her students to learn the most in there stay.
The teaching level is for beginners and more experienced yogi’s. Eline’s lessons are built so each individual can take out what he/she needs!
Do you like a fully planned week, daily programs from waking up till getting back in your bed or do you prefer some freedom to make your own twists to your holiday?
3. Check the program; How much free-time, how many lessons, options and at what hour starts the class(es)?
We prefer to give everybody the opportunity to do what they want, to use the days following their heart! (sometimes we forget to do what we really want to do)
We schedule the lessons in the morning and evenings so you have plenty of time in between to go on adventure, go wind-kite-surf, scuba-dive, lay at the beach, shop, make a trip, do your thing!
One day will be scheduled with only a morning session, so everybody can have one day 'off'.
So besides a matching location, teaching style and level, the luxury level, the scheduled program and vibes what else is important in choosing YOUR holiday?
4. Budget, Options, Group-size and Relaxation versus Adventure/Discovery level.
We think yoga holidays should be about you, going on a holiday, discovering yourself, the surroundings and hopefully some action in the water. This should be affordable, if you prefer just a bed and a yoga lesson every day, you don't have to pay for the extra’s! If you want a bit more, than just add it and pay for what you want!
Group-size will matter, to many people can make you feel like a number, personal attention for each other is important for your process. Therefor, we keep it to small groups.
Be free to relax or get out on adventure, no luxury mud-baths and saunas but sunbathing, swimming in the ocean and a good cocktail with the sunset will bring you alive as well! (If you like to pamper yourself a bit you can still visit one of the spa's nearby, if you like a bit more action; go climbing, diving, windsurfing or surfing)
We consider our holidays easy going! Do whatever you feel like doing that day.
Focus on the breath and your personal borders is what divides Yoga from Fitness.
